At Prodigy Pro, we facilitate investments through Regular Plans only.

Which API/platform executes the SIP transaction?

At Prodigy Pro, we use the NSE and BSE platforms to execute all mutual fund transactions, including both lump-sum investments and SIPs.

Where does the investor's money go when they invest?

Initially, the investor's money is routed to an exchange pool account. From there, the funds are transferred directly to the respective Asset Management Company's (AMC) account.

How does BFC Capital earn revenue from Prodigy Pro?

BFC Capital does not earn any revenue from Prodigy Pro. BFC Capital earns revenue directly from the respective Asset Management Companies (AMCs).

Who is the customer's contractual/legal relationship with?

BFC Capital is the legal entity with whom the customer has the contractual relationship. Prodigy Pro is the technology platform through which these services are facilitated.

Does Prodigy Pro provide personalised investment advice/recommendations?

Yes. Prodigy Pro provides personalised investment recommendations based on the user's investment horizon and risk profile.

How is the user’s KYC performed?

The user’s KYC is completed through a KYC Registration Agency (KRA), as required for mutual fund investments. The specific KRA may change from time to time based on operational requirements. Currently, Prodigy Pro facilitates KYC through CAMS KRA.

Is Prodigy Pro built in accordance with the applicable regulatory framework?

Yes. The entire Prodigy Pro platform and its processes are designed in accordance with the applicable regulatory framework and guidelines issued by SEBI and AMFI from time to time.

How does Prodigy Pro interact with RTAs and AMCs?

Prodigy Pro receives transactions and related data from the RTA through its backend platform, WMS.

Prodigy Pro does not directly interact with AMCs for transaction processing. WMS interfaces with the RTA and receives the transaction feeds that the RTA provides. Transactions initiated through Prodigy Pro are processed by the respective RTA, and the corresponding transaction feeds are generally received through the back-end/mail-back service within the next 1–2 working days.

WMS processes these feeds and generates the required transaction data and reports for Prodigy Pro. Thus, WMS acts as the backend system that interfaces with the RTA and processes the transaction feeds received from it.

What is the business model of Prodigy Pro?

Prodigy Pro follows an end-to-end investment platform model designed to serve investors across different stages of their investment journey, from first-time investors to seasoned investors.

The platform offers investment solutions across different ticket sizes, including SIPs starting from Rs 100, while also facilitating higher-ticket investment products such as SIFs, which may have a minimum investment amount of Rs 10 lakh, as applicable.

For transactions executed through Prodigy Pro, the corresponding mutual fund investments are subject to the prescribed revenue structure applicable to the respective Asset Management Companies (AMCs). Based on this structure, BFC Capital receives the applicable revenue against transactions executed through the Prodigy Pro platform. In addition to mutual fund investments, Prodigy Pro also offers investors the option to avail a Loan Against Mutual Funds to meet immediate liquidity requirements. The loan processing is facilitated through third-party APIs. BFC Capital earns applicable revenue on loans processed through Prodigy Pro.
